I Vini del Piemonte in London with “Simply Italian Great Wines” in Collaboration with I.E.M.

On September 30th, 2025, the promotional consortium will make a stop in London to showcase the exceptional wines of Piedmont.

With the aim of strengthening the presence of Piedmontese wines in the United Kingdom, I Vini del Piemonte will participate in the ‘Simply Italian Great Wines’ event in London on September 30, 2025. This is a unique opportunity to promote Piedmont’s oenological excellence in one of the world’s most important markets.

The event represents a valuable promotional opportunity for the member producers of the I Vini del Piemonte Consortium. The primary objective is to foster direct interaction with local professionals (importers, sommeliers, Ho.Re.Ca. channel) and the press, creating new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.

The event format includes a series of guided seminars/masterclasses, followed by a walk-around tasting where company representatives will have the opportunity to present their wines to participating operators. This provides an opportunity to showcase the history, characteristics, and quality of Piedmontese wines, and to introduce and gain appreciation for them among the London audience.

London and the UK have always played a crucial role in the global wine trade. British consumers are highly discerning when it comes to Italian wines, and particularly appreciate quality and sustainable productions like those from Piedmont.

The event is aimed at both established companies looking to increase their market presence and those seeking importers.

Why the United Kingdom:

  • Growing Market: The UK is a growing market for Italian wine, with a +1.8% increase, rising exports, and a consolidated leadership in the sparkling wine segment.
  • Focus on Premium: The UK wine market has always had a strong focus on the premium segment, making it an attractive opportunity for Italian producers.
  • Sustainability and Territoriality: Sustainability is an increasingly important issue for British consumers, as is the emphasis on territoriality through traditional and historical denominations.
  • Favorable Consumption Trends: The British market is showing a growing interest in white wines (42% of consumption) and rosé wines (12% of consumption). These trends offer new opportunities for Italian producers who offer these products.”
