Why Belgium?
The first four months of 2024 witnessed a positive trajectory for Italian wine in Belgium, with sales remaining robust at €69.87 million. Belgian consumers are increasingly discerning, placing a premium on quality and opting for wines with designated origin labels. There is a heightened awareness and preference for sustainable and organic products. Notably, Italy has ascended to the second position in the market, surpassing Spain, with exports surging by 3% in 2023 to reach €124 million.
