On 20 June 2022, a large team will gather together. In fact, Barbera d ‘Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium and I Vini del Piemonte promotion consortium return side by side for a new edition of My Name is Barbera. Belgium will be the stage for an important initiative, created with the aim of promoting Barbera d ‘Asti in this strategic market.

The event will be staged in Ghent, in the rich Flanders, a region that connects to the Netherlands and overlooks at London through the North Sea, the beating heart of the Belgian economy and a point of great interest for quality food and wine: a targeted choice to promote Barbera d’Asti through a walk around tasting and two in-depth  master classes, reserved exclusively for professionals.

The event will be aimed at over 100 selected trade operators (both importers looking for new companies, and representatives of the Ho.Re.Ca sector, restaurateurs, journalists, sommeliers, etc.). The initiative is therefore open both to producers looking for an importer in Belgium and to already imported companies wishing to promote themselves to operators in the sector.

PROGRAM

• 10.30-11.30: seminar for producers held by the wine communicator Salvator Vandewalle and the representatives of the two consortia
• 14.00-15.00: master class for professionals entitled “Barbera d’Asti great vintages”
• 14.00-18.30: walk around tasting aimed at trade
• 16.30-17.30: master class for professionals entitled “Exploring Monferrato” dedicated to a journey on the wines of Monferrato
• 18.30-19.30: aperitif reserved for operators to encourage meetings and dialogue with producers
