September 17, 2021: the twelfth edition of the most important tasting event dedicated to wine in all of Denmark was staged at Børsen
For years an undisputed reference for Danish professionals and wine lovers, the Barolo & Friends Event, organized in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, was staged on Friday 17 September 2021 at Børsen, a seventeenth-century building that was the historic seat of the Stock Exchange, one of the most prestigious buildings in the Danish capital.
For this twelfth edition 2 Piedmontese consortia and 35 wine producers from the main wine-growing areas of Piedmont took part. The producers attended the event to personally present their labels to operators and wine lovers, who for years have shown that they know and deeply love Piedmont, not only for its great wines but also as a favourite destination for their holidays.
Among the great novelties of the 2021 edition, an in-depth focus on Piedmont white wines, thanks to the partnership with Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Tortonesi and Consorzio Tutela Vini D.O.C. Caluso Carema Canavese, which were present in the room with 2 tasting conters during the walk around tasting and in the context of two in-depth master classes.
As usual, the event was divided into three distinct sessions, with the “walk around tasting” formula. The first session was reserved for sector operators. The other two was open to the paying public, who also had the possibility to win a holiday in Langhe for two people.
During the trade session two in-depth Master classes about Piedmont white wines held by the well-known journalist Thomas Ilkjær has been organized.
