The consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte, which has been present on Sweden for many years, organized several initiatives in Gӧteborg, second Swedish city for inhabitants renowned for its wine and food traditions, aiming at promoting the wines of Piedmont on a rapidly growing market which is also very interested in top quality Italian wines.

Piemonte Wine Day

Saturday, 1^st February 2020, at the Clarion Hotel Post, historical and elegant building in the city centre, there has been the 4^th edition of the Piemonte Wine Day: an entire day of promotional activities conceived to promote the Piedmontese wineries already present in the Swedish market. On schedule, two master classes reserved for the members of the prestigious wine club Munskänkarna, a walk around tasting addressed to the wine club members and a public of selected wine lovers, during which a stay in the Langhe for two people has been awarded, and a wine dinner dedicated to the Piedmontese cuisine at the Hotel Eggers, hosted by Robert Sumberaz, Ambassador of I Vini del Piemonte in Sweden, together with an expert sommelier.

Sommelier Day

Sunday, 2^nd February 2020 a producers’ delegation of the consortium I Vini del Piemonte took part in the 20^th edition of the prestigious Sommelier Day, an important fair organized by the western branch of the Sweden Sommelier Association (Svenska Sommelierföreningen) and dedicated to the sommelier’s profession at the Clarion Hotel Post. The members are professionals working in the catering field, in the Systembolaget as well as Swedesh importers and journalists of the sector. On schedule there was a walk around tasting addressed to some 200-300 sommeliers and a master class reserved for selected sommeliers, held by the expert wine lecturer Federico Bellini, at the presence of the wine producers.
