On 28 April 2019, an exclusive event conceived by the famous journalist, one of the most prominent in the Netherlands and in the world.
Sunday 28 April 2019 “The other Piemontese whites and reds” was held in Rotterdam. This exclusive event has been organized by I Vini del Piemonte with Fred Nijhuis, one of the most renowned and appreciated Dutch journalists who, for more than 25 years has been organizing tastings and training seminars in the wine and food sector, has published articles on the most important sector magazines and has visited most of the countries in the world where wine is produced.
The event was addressed to the final consumers, in particular those members of Verenigde Vinologen, a wine club with some 400 members including operators and final consumers, all with a certified expertise in the wine sector.
The wine producing companies, as well as the wines, have been personally selected by Fred Nijhuis, who gave great importance to the native and less known vines of Piedmont, with the aim of proposing to the extremely prepared public an original and interesting insight. The same goal was that of the Master Class, that focused on the peculiarities of the native vines of Piedmont.
Rotterdam is a strategic city, both for its geographical position and because it represents a logistic base for the entire North Europe and all the most important companies have their headquarters here. Last but not least, this area is facing a constantly growing period.
