2nd-3rd September 2019: the representatives of the Piedmontese wine producing companies met a group of sector operators coming from different countries.
After the success of similar initiatives organized in the last few years, the consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte organized a new incoming event of wine sector operators in the Piedmontese territory.
The event took place on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd September 2019 at the Hotel I Castelli, viale Torino 14, in Alba (Italy) and allowed to some 25 wine producing company members of the consortium to meet approximately fifteen buyers coming from Finland, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Germany, UK, USA, Canada, China, Singapore and Russia.
The attending buyers had been carefully selected by Michèle Shah srl, an agency that has been organizing workshops for the wine sector for years. The BtoB meetings followed a prearranged schedule according to the specific requests of the buyers, in order to organize interesting meetings for both parties.
The meetings, that lasted approximately 25 minutes each, took place throughout the entire day. At the end of the meetings, the attending producers had the opportunity to invite the buyers to their company and/or for dinner.
The initiative is fully part of the strategies of the consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte, which has always been focused on exports and that, for years, has been active to enhance the process of internationalization of the wine companies. In fact, for the wine producing companies selling outside Italy has become crucial, as it is also confirmed by statistics. In fact, the share of Piedmontese wine exported outside Italy is more that 60%.
