From November 1st to November 5th 2018, I Vini del Piemonte will be hosted at Vinidivio, the Wine Exhibition of the Dijon Fair.
The consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte has been invited as a guest to “Vinidivio”, a wine exhibition organized during the Dijon Fair, which will take place in France from November 1st to November 5th 2018.
Capital with a majestic past, Dijon is the Burgundy capital. Nominated City of Art and History since 2008, this city gathers together heritage, culture and the cuisine pleasures. Famous worldwide for its gastronomy and its art de vivre, Dijon is also the gateway to some of the most famous vineyards of France.
The International and Gastronomic Fair of Dijon, conceived since 1921, welcomes, every year, 160,000 visitors and some 600 exhibitors covering a dozen sectors. For this edition, Italy will be the guest of honour.
The wine fair Vinidivio takes place every year within the Dijon Fair and this year the guest region will be Piedmont, with a dedicated area reserved for 15 Piedmontese producers members of I Vini del Piemonte.
The wine producing companies can attend one or more days of the Fair. For the whole period, I Vini del Piemonte will manage a wine bar, with the presence of a sommelier. In the wine bar there will be the wines of the attending producers the entire event duration, even if these producers will join the event itself for just one day.
The first four days will be dedicated to final consumers, while the final day, Monday November 5th, will be reserved for sector professionals (sommeliers, journalists, restaurateurs, importers, etc.).
All the attending companies will take part in the “International Wine Competition” chaired by Eric Goettelmann, chef sommelier exécutif of the Bernard Loiseau group. The competition will take place on Tuesday October 23rd. The jury, chaired by Stéphane Derenoncourt, will blindly taste all the wines in competition and the winners will be awarded in an official ceremony Sunday November 4th, during the Paulée de Dijon. Each company can register from 1 to 3 labels of its production in the competition.
