The consortium of promotion went to South Korea to present the Piedmontese wines to one of the Asian continent’s most dynamic markets.
Following last editions’ positive experience, from 27th to 29th April 2016, the consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte took part once again in the Seoul International Wine & Spirits Expo, with stand inside the pavilion dedicated to Italy. The direct presence of the Piedmontese producers has been an added value when one considers that the greatest part of exhibitors attending the fair were Korean importers.
The Seoul International Wine & Spirits Expo is the most important event in South Korea to promote international wine productions to one of the most dynamic markets of the Far East and among the most interesting in the world in terms of growth rates and consumption inclination. The Expo is a trade show promoted by KWSIA, the organization of Korean importers of the Wine & Spirits industry.
Now in its 15th edition, the event is spread over three days with a particularly effective structure: the first two days are entirely dedicated to the sector operators, while the last day is open to the public of wine lovers. In the last edition, more than 200 exhibitors, representing 18 countries, and some 20,000 people attended the event, including nearly 6,000 buyers, divided between importers, restaurateurs, representatives of supermarkets and retail outlets, and representatives of the hotel industry.
