The main event for Danish wine lovers will take place in Copenhagen on 8th and 9th May 2015 for the seventh consecutive year.
Growing year after year, and now the main event dedicated to wine in this Scandinavian country, Barolo & Friends has become indispensable for the people of Copenhagen who, every year, pack the halls of Børsen to appreciate the wines of forty Piedmontese producers and the best of the Italian gastronomic production. In addition, interest in the event has, for years now, intrigued even the “experts” and, as pointed out by Nicola Argamante, vice president of the Consortium I Vini del Piemonte, «the Danish traders consider this as the week of the Piedmontese wine in Denmark».
During the first six editions, Barolo & Friends has had a great success both among wine lovers and professionals, leading to record more than 2,000 attendees in 2014 and for the 2015 edition some 900 tickets have already been sold.
As usual, the event, that will take place on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May, 2015, will be hosted in the prestigious Børsen Palace, undoubtedly the most exclusive location in the whole of Denmark. The event, sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Copenhagen, will offer the participants a real “Showcase on Piedmont” and will be divided into different parts, with sessions for the public of wine lovers and other reserved for the sector professionals. There will also be moments with in-depth sessions to fully present the regional food and wine production with dinners with producers, workshops and seminars with food pairings.
