After the great success of the first two editions of the Barolo & Friends event in Poland, on 29th May 2014 the Piedmontese producers came back to Warsaw to present their wines together with the Consortium of the DOC wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Following the experience of the Barolo & Friends Event in Warsaw, which in 2012 and 2013 each recorded some one-thousand participants, including wine lovers and professionals of the sector, the Consortium “i Vini del Piemonte” came back to the Polish capital with a totally renewed event dedicated exclusively to selected professionals (importers, dealers, restaurateurs, sommeliers and journalists) and organized with an exceptional partner: the Consortium of the DOC wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Conceived with the aim of presenting the producers of some of the best red and white wines of Italy, together and to the world, the partnership with the Consortium of the Fiulian DOC labels includes the organization of promotional and sale events in selected European cities: after Warsaw, in Autumn more joint initiatives will follow.
The event, which also on this occasion had the opportunity to count on the prestigious partnership with the magazine Magazyn Wino, took place on Wednesday 29th May 2014 at Centrum Sztuki Fort Sokolnickiego, an historical building dating back to the 19th century which was part of a complex of fortresses of the Warsaw Citadel and has been recently restored and transformed into a multifunctional space.
12.00am / 5.30pm – Walking Tasting: tables with Piedmontese and Friulian producers presenting their wines.
10.00am: Seminar on the Polish market for the wine producers attending the event.
10.45am / 12.00am– Seminar for the professionals of the sector on the wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia, led by Tomasz Prange Barczyński , journalist of Magazyn Wino.
1.00pm / 2.00pm – Seminar for the professionals of the sector on the wines of Piedmont, led by an oenologist or a sommelier expert in Piedmontese wines, with a focus on Nascetta and Pelaverga wines.
