June 2022: the ambitious project conceived to promote the culture of Piedmontese wine among consumers and boost sales of Piedmontese wines also arrives in the Netherlands
We are proud to be kicking off our innovative Piedmont Wine School project in the Netherlands alongside our ambassador Fred Nijhuis, one of the best known and most appreciated Dutch wine communicators, who has been organizing wine and gastronomy tastings and training seminars for over 25 years and has published articles in the most important magazines in the sector.
Successfully launched in 2017 in Denmark, the Piedmont Wine School aims to disseminate and promote the culture of Piedmontese wine, in order to meet the demand for knowledge from consumers and strengthen the promotion on a certainly strategic market for the Piedmontese wines, with the aim of further boosting sales and positioning of producers.
Based on the experience of numerous promotional events in several cities in the Netherlands, the promotion consortium I Vini del Piemonte believed that the time was ripe for further promotion activities, aimed in particular at supporting imported companies, through a series of master classes that will focus on different indigenous Piedmontese varieties.
Unlike Denmark and Norway, the target of the Piedmont Wine School will be an audience selected from the most prestigious wine clubs and will have an itinerant calendar.
The 2022/2023 program includes six Piedmontese wine tasting seminars: each producer can nominate their own winery to take part in this important educational project, proposing a maximum of 6 labels to taste: each company can then be included in one or more scheduled tastings according to Fred Nijuis’ selection.
